| The Group The Kampakas Group consists of
- GMC S.A. (in Xanthi)
- BMTE S.A. (in Volos)
and controls approximately
95% of all casting activities in Greece.
Areas of Activity
- The casting production includes plain carbon steels, low
alloyed steels, grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, white chromo-irons, stainless and heat
resistant steels plus austenitic manganese steels as well as aluminium copper alloys
- The metal, mechanical construction and assembly
department equipped with the latest CNC Machining Centers, Lathes and Boring machines,
supported by sophisticated CAD/CAM technology, secures the ability to deliver final
products of medium to large dimensions to our customers.
- The Kampakas Group produces also gears
and gear
trains, as well as pumps
of various shapes and
sizes.
- The Group has manufactured a great number of
spare parts
and products for the Hellenic Armed Forces. The production line has delivered
track
shoes,
conversion kits for tanks, turret stowage sets, armor steel castings, top deck grills,
engine blocks, break drums, etc.
Quality Assurance
With main concern to maintain the
high quality level of our products, our quality assurance system is based on
ISO
9001:2000 standard, throughout all the production stages, supported by high technology
test equipment. Atomic emission and absorption spectrographs, ultrasonic and magnetic
particle inspection machines, mechanical and metallography testing machines are some of
the indicative instruments used for never ending fulfillment quality
requirements.
